INDUSTRIAL INSULATION

 

In the industrial plants - chemical and petrochemical industries, power stations, refineries - SAIT installs acoustic and thermal insulations (of both hot and cold components) over boilers, turbines, tanks, smoke exhausts, pipes, equipment, etc.Insulation for hot components is installed by making use of insulating products, which are kept in place by using galvanized steel iron wires or steel strips and caburizing wrought iron hooks previously grid sealed and equipped with self-locking galvanized steel clips. The insulation described above is covered with the sheet metal coating, whose components, obtained by geometrical tracing, outline the structure beneath; these components are assembled by using stainless steel thread-forming screws and are attached to the previously turnkey welded and prefabricated metal frames. Insulation for cold components is installed by applying products available from the blocks of closed-cell insulation materials, which are kept in place by using stainless steel strips fixed with special seals and by applying stucco - through special mastics - over all longitudinal and circumferential joints; this type of insulation is also installed by applying vapour barrier in felts. The insulation described above is covered with the sheet metal coating, which is prefabricated and installed by following the same criteria used for insulation of hot components.
